Ingredients
Green gram-100g
Onion(sliced)-1 Number
Garlic-2-3 No
Ginger (Sliced)-1/4 teaspoon
Green chilli-1-2 Numbers
Coconut (Grated)-1 Cup
Seasoning
Oil-1 table spoon
Mustard seed -1/4 teaspoon
Red chilli-2-3 Numbers
Curry leaves-5-6 Numbers
Preparation
Before getting in to the cooking process, soak the green gram for 4-5 hours. After the soaking process take a pressure cooker and add the green gram, sliced onion, garlic, green chilli and ginger and pressure cook it for 3-4 whistles.
Once Green gram is cooked pen lid of the cooker add the grated coconut to it and off the flame, Now take a pan and heat it and add oil, once the oil is hot add the mustards, when the mustard start to pop add red chili, curry leaves and stir it for 30 sec the pour the seasoning over the curry.
Tasty cherupayar(green gram)curry is ready. you can have it with putt. Also, you can add pappadam to taste.
