Ingredients needed
Raw Papaya ( Chopped ) – 1 Cup
Bottle Gourd ( Chopped ) -1 Cup
Green chili – 3 Nos
Coconut – 1/4 cup
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 Teaspoon
Cumin Seeds – 1 Teaspoon
Salt needed
Red chilies – 3 Nos
Oil – 2 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Shallots – 6-7 or 1 small onion
Curry leaves – a sprig
Preparation
Take a cooker in that add chopped bottle gourd and raw papaya, green chili, turmeric powder, a cup of water, and last add salt as per requirement. Pressure cooks for 1-2 whistles. Once the pressure cooker has done take a mixture grinder to add coconut, cumin seed, and 1 green chili and grind it and make a thick paste. Now open the lid of the cooker and add the paste and cook it for 5 minutes on low heat. Now heat a pan add oil in a pan, then add mustard seeds, red chilies, and curry leaves, shallots and sizzle it,
Sauté it until the shallot becomes golden brown. Then add it to the koottucurry. Bottle Gourd Papaya Curry Kootu Curry is ready.
