KERALA TRADITIONAL THENGAA PAAL KOZHI CURRY RECIPE

Ingredients :

Chicken – 1 kg

Onion – 5-6 Nos

Green Chilli – 4-5 Nos

Ginger – 1 tablespoon

Chilli powder – 2 tbsp

Coriander powder – 4 tbsp

Chicken masala powder – 2 tbsp

Curry leaves – 1 string

Coconut oil – 150 ml

Coconut milk – 1.5 ltr

Salt – To taste

Turmeric Powder – 1 pinch

Method of Preparation :

First Cut the chicken into pieces then marinate it with chilli powder and salt and a pinch of turmeric.

Make extract of coconut milk, one should be thick, other you can make with adding water.

Heat pan adds coconut oil and sautés sliced onion, chilli, ginger, garlic and curry leaves once the onion turned green add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and chicken masala powder. Put the chicken pieces in the pan till it is half done. Add the second extract of coconut milk and get it cooked gently in slow fire.
