KERALA TRADITIONAL IDLI RECIPE

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cup Raw White rice
  • 1 Cup Black gram
  • Salt-according to your taste
  • Coconut oil

Notes

Soak two cups of raw white rice in Malayalam it's called as pachari and one cup of black gram for 8hrs. Separately grind both. Mix it well and keep it for at least 8 hours. Now the batter is ready. Add salt to the batter and stir well but it's better to add salt after 8 hours. Pace the idly maker on the stove, add water, and let it boil. Oil the idli plates, pour the batter, and place it in the idly maker. Cover it with a lid and let it cook for some time. When the steam starts coming out, switch off the stove and open the idli maker. Take out the idly plates after checking whether the idlies are well cooked. To remove the idlies easily from the plates wait for a few minutes to let the idlies become slightly cool have.
