KOVAKKA THORAN RECIPE

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Kovakka - (Sliced)
  • 1 Piece Onion - (finely chopped)
  • 2 Piece Green Chilies
  • 1 sprig Curry Leaves
  • ½ tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • ¼ Cup Grated Coconut

Notes

Cut the Ivy Gourd into Small Pieces. Then heat Oil In A Pan And add The Mustard Seeds And Curry Leaves, after adding finely chopped onion, when it turned to transparent add green Chilies And Sauté For 2 Minutes. Once the Chilies are softened add Turmeric Powder And Salt to it
Then add Chopped Kovakka And Cook Them Over a Low Flame.
Keep Stirring In Between Till the Kovakka Is Cooked. Don’t add any water. Once you felt kovakka is cooked add the grated coconut and stir it for 3-4 minutes.
